About Treeshore Lakes
Treeshore Lakes is Deltona's best kept secret. Comprised of one hundred and nine home sites, we are nestled in the Estate Area of Deltona, located in Southwest Volusia County. Our community is bordered by two beautiful lakes, Big Lake and Lake Sidney. Boat ramps within the community provide exclusive access to our residents for fishing, boating, and other recreational activities.
In addition to our beautiful lakes, there are many other natural resources in our community. Take a stroll on any of our streets and you will find Florida native trees and wildlife: live oaks, magnolias, citrus trees and many types of palms. It is not uncommon to see a large variety of birds as well: hawks, osprey, egrets, sandhill cranes, ibis and more. Keep going on your stroll down to the shores of one of the lakes, and you may have the opportunity to meet Florida's most famous resident, the alligator.
The most interesting aspect of Treeshore Lakes may lie in the beginning. Treeshore Lakes was originally purchased and developed by the NFL Legend Johnny Unitas in the 1970s-80s. Some may recall hearing about "the Golden Arm," a nickname he earned as a record-breaking athlete which is also one of our street names. It is not exactly clear on what his original intentions were for the land, but some say he used it for fishing and hunting before it was developed.
